Job Title:
Associate Director, Data Science
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will sell, design and conduct research and strategy engagements that lead to innovative and high-quality experiences for our clients’ customers and stakeholders. This role will participate in all phases of research for the purposes of formulating strategy, discovering opportunities, defining requirements, assessing designs and executing the overall strategy. In addition, the Associate Director, Data Science will support practice and capability development.
Responsibilities:
• Provide senior-level interactive consulting, estimation, planning, and leadership on research and strategy projects related to Analytics and Data Science.
• Support practice and capability development of the experience research team for Data Sciences
• Articulate value proposition and distinctions between different kinds of Analytics
• Maintain, build and grow client work
• Be able to work with a variety of new Analytics tools
• Utilize Advanced analytics and statistical analysis for clients
• Build measurement plans
• Coordinate and execute customer, client, vendor, and market research, using qualitative and quantitative methods as appropriate, including ethnographic research, in-context interviews, facilitated work sessions, focus groups and surveys
• Lead the gathering and prioritization of requirements based upon business requirements, user needs and technology capabilities
• Develop and apply conceptual frameworks and analytical approaches
• Leverage insight and experience to review and critique emerging behavioral models
• Frame business problems and develop detailed briefs that inform creative ideation, media mix, and communication planning
• Estimate, plan, facilitate and manage usability evaluations
• Facilitate meetings, working sessions and workshops
• Manage key tracks of work (including other individuals) in accordance with established budget, work plans and quality standards
• Contribute to thought leadership internally, in the form of practice development and project oversight and review, and externally, through presenting and publishing
Experience Guidelines:
• 8-10 years of online industry experience executing research projects including marketing strategy, digital and multi-channel commerce, content portals, kiosks, intranet/extranets, e-mail marketing, online advertising and web-based application design
• Experience with wide range of analytics methods including advanced statistical analysis and data science
• Must be able to articulate design concepts and strategies clearly
• Past consulting or agency experience required
• Successful track record of managing and mentoring people
• Established record of leading projects and cross-functional teams
• Successful record of developing client relationships
• Successful record of contributing to business development and revenue generation
• Experience with advanced analytics tools
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required
