Overview and Responsibilities
Responsible for the accurate and timely accounting and analysis for Viacom Media Networks (“VMN”) domestic and LATAM programming and brand group transactions.
• Lead the preparation and reconciliation of programming assets schedules and accounts for LATAM region
• Process monthly programming amortization across all regions for LATAM programming; coordinate with business partners to clear errors
• Compile monthly amortization schedule by asset for all LATAM programming showing actual versus estimate amortization
• Perform monthly LATAM acquired programming gross up entries
• Manage LATAM project creation with Master Data Governance team
• Supervise monthly LATAM acquired programming invoice matching and approvals
• Record and reconcile LATAM short term/long term asset reclassifications
• Ensure that all relevant key controls are in place and functioning properly in accordance with internal policies and procedures and Sarbanes Oxley rules and regulations.
• Provide requested documentation to internal and external auditors
• Oversee settlement error monitoring for LATAM programming assets
• Prepare intercompany programming confirmation for LATAM programming assets
• Prepare relevant operational and financial metrics for management review
• Assist with ad hoc Viacom and internal management requests
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Minimum 3-5 years relevant work experience
• Strong working knowledge of general accounting principles, concepts and processes

• Demonstrate the ability to perform effective work load prioritization and management
• Demonstrate the ability to be a self starter and take initiative and follow through
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to be thorough with attention to detail
• Strong communication skills (oral, written & listening)
• Fluent in Spanish a strong plus
• Prior entertainment & media experience a plus
• Experience in HFM, Longview and SAP a strong plus
