Position Description:
The expectation from the Digital Product Development Manager is to combine the skills of a Project Manager and Business Analyst to ensure projects are delivered on scope, budget and timelines. The day-to-day operations will include cross- functional coordination, ability to multi-task on more than one project at a time or multiple aspects of the same project.
Job Duties/Accountabilities:
• Deliver projects and products using the appropriate agile project management methodology, learning & iterating frequently.
• Work with the Product Manager to define the roadmap for any given product and translate this into user stories.
• Analyze data as required to support the requirements for the project. Data sources may include reviewing external competitors or internal data sources.
• Sprint Planning using internal JIRA and Confluence tools to manage projects across Product Management, Development, UX, Design, QA and Customer Care teams.
• Communication and coordination with other stakeholders for requirements and deliverables - for e.g. Finance, Programming, Marketing, Affiliate Sales.
• This role will require a matrix-management approach across multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure all products are built to an appropriate level of quality for the applicable stage (alpha/beta/production).
• Budget Management.
Critical Qualifications/Competencies:
• A Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) with 3-5 years’ experience in a related industry.
• Demonstrated track record in project management. A PMP certification (or equivalent) is preferred.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills. French Language fluency will be an asset.
• Ability to work in a fluid environment that involves managing varied responsibilities, and multiple priorities.
• A keen eye for detail and a strong team player who can ensure that commitments and deliverables are met on time.
• Strong influencing and relationship management skills.
• Experience working with and managing digital development projects preferably in the media industry.
• Ability to work directly with clients groups to define project requirements and track and communicate progress.
• PMP Certification with experience in managing and assigning project resources. Includes creation and management of work-back schedules, milestone deliveries and governance.
• Experience working and coordinating with established 3rd party solution providers as part of development cycle – including the sourcing of new vendors when required
• Experience in Budget Management
• Understanding of technology systems and their components
• Business Analysis skills that require translating Product owner requirements into user stories and tasks for Development teams.
• Knowledge and Analysis Skills – be able to source, collect and evaluate information to present in useable forms to the relevant audience.
Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
