Position Summary:
The Digital Content Producer creates, produces and edits video, photo and editorial content for SiriusXM's entertainment and pop culture programming for engagement on social media platforms, specifically managing the Entertainment Facebook vertical. This individual will also create blog content for Siriusxm's WordPress blog, as well as various SiriusXM marketing streams, including customer email. This position is vital to the organization's focus on engagement content and content marketing. The Digital Content Producer also manages processes that distribute content across relevant social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, SnapChat), and must be an active evangelist for best social media practices, consulting and liaising with Programming, Marketing, and Customer Care departments and implementing content strategy across multiple platforms. This individual is also is responsible for crafting digital content, both video and written, with the appropriate editorial voice and style for different audiences and distribution points. This person must quickly develop tight relationships with the Talent, Promotions and Programming Departments to effectively promote content.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage the SiriusXM Entertainment Facebook vertical.
• Create new and edit existing and video and editorial content for social media, siriusxm.com and customer email.
• Work with programming stakeholders to produce engagement content.
• Contribute to social media strategy.
• Create social content for SiriusXM's main brand and sub-brand accounts.
• Advise Programming on social media best practices, collaborate on digital content strategies.
• Manage creation of digital content for and delivery to marketing streams.
• Manage relevant analytics reports and content tracking.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Supervise interns work in content management and social media.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with web producing and content creation preferably in a media and/or entertainment company.
• Facility across social media platforms.
• Content marketing experience a plus.
Requirements and General Skills:
• Video and photo editing in Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Knowledge of and interest in entertainment and pop culture.
• Deep understanding of social media best practices for brands and media companies.
• Experience crafting and editing copy and headlines for editorial content.
• Line and top editing editorial content.
• Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to details.
• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
Technical Skills:
• Video editing in Adobe Premiere.
• Image editing in Photoshop.
• Blog publishing in WordPress.
• Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
• Experience in CMS publishing a plus.
