Job Summary:
The National Research and Insight Manager position will architect and manage data-based presale narratives for current and potential clients. This role is the authority and key point of contact for all digital advertising related data. The Manager is responsible for providing strong perspective and ongoing analysis of business data; including syndicated media data, digital data (internal and 3rd party), social measurement, primary research, and client business metrics. It requires the ability to find an appropriate perspective across many resources quickly, from conceptualization through delivery. Qualified candidates should demonstrate an interest in understanding the audio landscape, including digital streaming, visitation, and engagement. Candidates will possess strong communication and marketing research skills along with an interest in applying analytical techniques to solving client challenges to benefit iHeartMedia.

Specific Responsibilities:
Presale
• Mine advertising and business data to develop a view of relevant and actionable insights in presale client communication (e.g., decks, phone calls, presentations)
• Regularly generate listener profiles and reference one-sheets by demo, category, and platform
• Run quantitative audience analyses using multiple syndicated databases. Apply data to sales needs with perspective
• Develop research collateral to position iHeartMedia as the marketplace leader
• Clearly communicate key findings and insights, and provide clear, concise perspective to internal national platform sales teams
• Stay informed on evolving audio landscape, including research and emerging trends to provide insight in arming sales teams with the benefits of iHeartMedia.
Digital / Social / Mobile
• Be the authority for iHeartMedia’s digital audience data.
• Create and maintain iHeartRadio’s digital audience go-to-market story
• Lead social measurement across iHeart’s tentpole events and client campaigns
Team
• Directly manage one or more analysts
• Collaborate with entire 20+ person national research team
• Inspire a culture of insights, narrative, and research-based presentations
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college. Master’s degree preferred.
• 2-4 years’ insight/storytelling experience, using host of 3rd party and digital, social, mobile data resources
• Experience with analytics tools such as Looker, Omniture, social listening tools, and syndicated research data/tools (i.e. comScore, MRI, etc.)
• Passionate about digital media and audio landscape, thrives on the challenge of “creating stories” with raw data, and has a firm understanding of digital audience measurement and research best practices
• Detail-orientation with haste. Much work in iHeart Ad Sales requires quick turnaround decision-making and responsiveness
• Quality product must meet the highest standards of thoughtfulness, integrity, and insight, with a unique ability to craft concise Power Point narratives
• Demonstrated ability to work with multiple data sets to create insights
• Experience applying light statistics to solving business problems
• Ability to communicate complex concepts to a nontechnical audience with a clear point of view
• Experience leading and developing growth of other team members
• Demonstrated background in analytics with interest in digital, mobile, social and cross-media analytics. Previous experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively and quickly
• Ability to look across and within different data resources to discover insight and present recommendations internally, and to clients
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and Power Point
• Experience with statistical software packages, like SPSS, desired
• Right combination of critical thinking, entrepreneurial resourcefulness and creative mindset
• Interested in detailed analysis, as it relates to a bigger picture purpose
• Insatiable curiosity to understand how and why people listen to all-things audio and iHeartMedia
