JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for establishing operational objectives and coordination of the creative, technical, and strategic production of online content and web presence. Manages the development of the content that will motivate and entertain users. Manages staff involved in developing digital content and delegates assignments. This role requires extensive content creation and web editorial experience.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages, writes, and edits online content.
Liaises with various creative and technical stakeholders to optimize text and video content for social syndication.
Implements strategic policies when selecting methods and techniques to effectively manage communications social media platforms.
Develops creative and compelling content packaging ideas.
Responsible for inputting and formatting content into the content management system.
Establishes and assures adherence to schedules and deadlines.
Ensures the websites provide up-to-date and comprehensive information that is easily available to existing and potential customers.
Helps craft content marketing vehicles (newsletters, emails, social media posts).
Analyzes and reports website and digital content usage data. Measures usability and effectiveness.
Determines appropriate layout, positioning, and flow of digital content.
Works with Web developers to improve and optimize website design, digital content, and performance.
Establishes and maintains content that is well organized, user friendly, and presents a consistent corporate look and feel.
Ensures all creative work adheres to Charter’s standards and builds the brand.
Responsible for hiring, performance appraisals, and pay reviews.
Assists with budgeting as necessary.
Performs other duties as requested by supervisor.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Knowledge of WordPress and other content management systems
Knowledge of Google Analytics and other reporting tools
Knowledge of current and emerging social media platforms
Ability to create compelling and professional website pages
Excellent organizational and problem solving skills and thorough attention to detail
Ability to work independently
Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at one time
Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
Ability to show judgment and initiative and to accomplish job duties
Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner
Ability to make decisions and resolve problems while working under pressure
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels in the organization
Ability to think strategically and anticipate future trends, needs and expectations
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
