Job Summary:
As part of our rapid growth in Business Services, Comcast is looking to hire a top performing Regional Vice President of Comcast Business to lead our OR/SW WA Region team in the West Division. This person will be responsible for developing and implementing Comcast's commercial services strategy in the small to medium business market, including direct sales and marketing activities. The Regional Vice President of Comcast Business will lead and manage a team of employees across the Region to achieve assigned sales, revenue and P&L objectives. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of the economic drivers of small and medium sized businesses, network architecture both coax and fiber, as well as a fundamental understanding of construction and engineering. Candidate will have proven senior leadership experience selling and delivering commercial internet, voice and video solutions to those businesses, and implemented successful business development and sales methodologies to increase sales productivity and capture market share.
Core Responsibilities:
• Effectively lead a high growth, commercial telecommunications sales and marketing organization with a $200M+ annual revenue budget
• Provide clear and dedicated focus on building long-term, sustainable value for shareholders, customers, employees and the community in addition to annual results
• Attract, recruit and retain top talent, build a strong bench.
• Achieve assigned sales, installation, revenue, operating P&L, capital budget, return on investment and customer satisfaction objectives
• Develop and implement effective sales channel and go-to-market strategies to capture attractive market opportunities and drive profitable growth
• Drive internet, voice and video sales and marketing activities in the Region to address our commercial business markets and customers in accordance with Division and Corporate standards
• Implement disciplined sales activity and sales process management to increase sales productivity
• Successfully manage activity between functional departments, including Sales, Marketing, Product, Service Delivery, Operations and Customer Care
• Ensure high levels of performance
• Ensure customer satisfaction
• Develop and manage budgets, project plans and schedules, including new market deployments and product launches
• Maintain a strong working knowledge of internet, voice and video product offerings, the economic drivers of small and medium sized businesses, and Region competitors
• Maintain internal Comcast Business controls and policy compliance to minimize business risk for the Region, Division and Comcast
• Manage effectively in a matrixed organization
• Represent Comcast in the community as appropriate
• Perform general management duties inherent in all senior level leadership positions
Job Specification:
• Minimum 10 years progressive, senior sales and financial leadership experience in the telecommunications industry
• Successfully led commercial sales, marketing and business development functions at a high growth telecommunications company
• Served successfully in a transformational leadership capacity. Developed and implemented strategy to move a sales organization forward at a high growth rate.
• Strong business and financial acumen with a deep understanding of the economic drivers of small and medium sized businesses
• Proven experience and success in managing a large P&L budget
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful sales channel and go-to-market strategies to capture market opportunities and drive profitable growth
• Consistent record of accomplishment of sales leadership success and quota achievement in high growth, commercial telecommunications sales organizations
• Proven skill in implementing effective business development and sales methodologies/processes to increase sales productivity in small and medium business markets
• Proven experience selling multi-site fiber based telecom solutions
• Demonstrated ability to attract, recruit and retain top talent and build high performing teams
• Worked effectively across diverse functions within a large business, (e.g. Sales, Marketing, Product, Service Delivery, Operations, Customer Care, etc.)
• Must be willing to travel domestically
• Undergraduate degree in business is required
• MBA is a plus
