Spotify has connected millions of people to their favorite songs and created a service for people to discover and enjoy music they love. We’re looking for a smart and experienced Video Production Manager to join the New Integrated Content Experiences team, reporting directly into the Production Lead. In this role, you will be responsible for the video production needs of the Viva Latino playlist. We are hiring for this position in Los Angeles.
What you’ll do
• Oversee video productions executed by 3rd party production vendors
• Break down budgets and look for cost saving measures
• Locate and negotiate partnerships with 3rd party video production vendors
• Oversee freelance workers to ensure they’re adhering to policies
• Source freelancers for productions
• Build and manage budgets for productions
• Oversee and put together productions as needed
• Collect project wrap from production companies and be responsible for all vendor agreements
• Partner with Creative Lead to come up with solutions to execute project visions
• Communicate professionally with staff and vendors about payments, logistics, etc
• Prepare reports and/or provide documentation as requested
Who you are
• 5-7 years experience as a Video Production Manager in film, commercials or new media
• Must be bilingual in Spanish/English
• Must be willing to travel up to 20% of the time
• Must be proficient in Showbiz budget and have proven experience actualizing budgets
• Strong knowledge of production payroll, production procedures, and insurance
• Production Accounting experience a plus
• Understanding of workflow from pre-production through post and delivery
• Must have industry contacts and a network of production companies
• Knowledge of labor law specifically for Video Production
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and deliver creative solutions to dynamic production issues
• Ability to liaise professionally with talent and management
• Experience supervising disparate teams at the same time
• Excellent problem solving and organizational skills
• Proven track record managing multiple projects in a large organization
• Superior oral and written communication skills
• Music lovers a plus!
