Job Description
Ubisoft is looking for an Insights Manager for its Digital Marketing team in San Francisco, CA. The Insights Manager is responsible for ensuring that fact based insights inform Ubisoft’s approach to digital marketing strategy and solutions. This is achieved through collaboration, process, tools and educational products that support the business needs of the Digital Marketing Department and Ubisoft Marketing at large.
Responsibilities:
Empower Scientific Approach within the Digital Marketing Team
• Develop and maintain relevant Digital Marketing reporting tools, methodologies and products:
◦ Align reporting cadence, content and presentation to maximize comprehension, visibility and impact to business. Review all reporting and manage ongoing tuning of dashboards, toolsets and reporting products.
◦ Align with data stakeholders on reporting methodologies, benchmarks and standards and maintain department documentation and references.
◦ Manage implementation of new measurement and reporting tools across the DM team with support from your manager and Project Manager
◦ Identify information gaps and seek internal or external solutions based on priority of need
• Support Digital and Content Marketing Managers to drive consistency and competency around data analysis and the development and communication of performance insights
◦ Drive rigorous application of standards, methodology, benchmarks and interpretive approaches across all reporting and insights efforts.
◦ Review all reporting and collaborate with Digital Marketing teams to interpret data, develop insights and learn techniques to enhance future reporting and analysis
◦ Own vision for day to day usage of tools and reporting templates. Ensure teams are clear on how and when they should be using tools and reports. Gather feedback from teams and work with your Manager and Project manager to evolve our tools over time.
• Ensure relevant findings from any insights efforts make it into new working standards and educational materials.
◦ Identify new best practices and ensure consistent implementation across Digital Marketing teams.
◦ Work with manager to package relevant findings, trends and insights for broader generalist and executive education.
Lead Digital Marketing Test & Trial Process
• Own Digital Marketing project queue and reporting for ongoing tests and trials
◦ Collaborate with Digital and Content Marketing Managers to identify opportunities to run scientific tests and trials that can advance approaches to Digital Marketing.
◦ Develop and deliver Test & Trial reports on a consistent and ongoing basis.
◦ Actively prioritize Test & Trial opportunities based on potential impact to business and manage queue and internal client expectations on delivery.
◦ Maintain a critical perspective on existing assumptions and best practices.
Support Digital Marketing Campaigns with Science
• Develop research, case studies and additional materials to support an insight driven approach across the Digital Marketing Team.
◦ Report on key content, audience, platform and competitive insights and new best practices.
◦ Support the development of topical case studies and research in collaboration the Digital Marketing team.
◦ Track channel health and performance optimization over time
◦ Support Digital Marketing teams in the development of meaningful Objectives, Benchmarks and KPIs.
• Collaborate with DMM’s to consult on Brand Specific research and help identify methodologies, tools and partners that can help answer key questions.
Qualifications
• 5 years of experience digital marketing and/or analytics with deep experience with and functional knowledge of social platforms, especially YouTube and Facebook.
• Experience with Advanced Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Working knowledge of Tableau and SQL highly desired
• Experience developing dashboards based on business KPI’s
• Self-motivated & analytically curious
• Strong interest in the gaming industry a plus
• Experience deriving insights based on social platform and content level insights.
• Experience building dashboards, reports and reference materials around digital and social performance data.
• Experience building presentations and communicating strategic insights to business audiences
• A solid understanding of advertising capabilities, ROI models, and emerging trends on social media.
• Experience measuring impact of both paid and organic strategies is preferred.
• Experience measuring and reporting on customer journeys across multiple digital touch points or platforms is preferred.
