Coordinator, Sales - Motion Picture Group

SPR Western Division – Sales and Distribution is responsible for putting Sony films in theatres in over half the country. We contact exhibitors to play the film, we negotiate a price for the film, we secure holdovers week after week to maximize the grossing potential of the film. Our office consistently produces top results due to hard work and a cohesive environment.
A sales coordinator’s main focus will be working extensively our DEX system entering billings, holdovers and grosses. They will be responsible for coordinating (requesting and billing) the many promo and trade screenings that are scheduled on each film. There will be phone and email contact with exhibitors collecting and confirming holdover and new playdate information. Strong computer skills are a must along with extensive knowledge in Excel.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Obtaining holdovers and updating the database with the appropriate data
• Requesting billing and keeping track of all promos and trade screenings
• Distributing and following-up on emails with customers
• Handling heavy phone coverage
• On a daily basis, collecting and entering any missing grosses in the system
• Reconciling weekly reports of missing grosses or billings
• Assisting sales manager with any additional project as required
• Occasional theatre checks of 1-sheet placement for proper Sony representation
• Writing the occasional screening reaction for internal distribution
REQUIREMENTS/ABILITIES
• Bachelor's degree
• 1-2 years of entertainment experience
• 1-2 years of managing experience
• must have good communication skills
• Skilled in Word, SAP Business Objects, advanced Excel
