Designer, Graphics (Viz Art)
JOB SUMMARY
Spectrum Sports is looking for a talented Animation/Graphic Designer (Viz Artist) that can support all live programming and creative needs. The Animation/Graphic Designer must be able to work excellent under pressure and have experience working in a graphics environment as well as a live control room to support pre-game, halftime, post-game and game productions. Basketball, baseball and soccer knowledge is highly preferred but not required. The ideal candidate has the ability to not only design graphics but also brainstorm fun, exciting ways to create and display content.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Conceptualize, design, develop, execute and animate high-end design projects that are integrated into multiple shows and live television graphics.
·Develop graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos and internet websites.
·Create two- and three-dimensional images depicting objects in motion or illustrating a process, using computer animation or modeling programs.
·Works closely with Production Operations Team as well as Engineering to help troubleshoot and support all Viz related projects and initiatives.
• Administrative duties include proper timecard entry, generating daily reports and effectively communicating with management on a daily basis.
• Ability to organize information and maintain style guides required.
• Lead and participate in on-going training programs and initiatives.
·Assists with breaking news coverage and last minute programming changes as necessary.
·Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
·In-depth knowledge of Viz Artist, Viz Trio and Multiplay required.
·Additional knowledge in C4D, After Effects, Photoshop and Chyron strongly preferred.
• Ideal candidate would have an understanding of Photoshop, After Effects, Cinema 4D and Viz Transition Logic.
• Understanding of Rundown Applications such as Dalet, iNews and Graphic integration such as ISQ is preferred.
• Strong understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Education
• College diploma or university degree in the field of Communications, Broadcasting, Radio/TV/Film and/or equivalent work experience.
Related Work Experience
Minimum 3 year working in live production environment; 5 years working as a Graphics Designer.

WORKING CONDITIONS
• Sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time in an office environment.
• Overtime may be required in meet deadlines.
• Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and to handle other computer components.
• On-call availability 24x7, 365 days a year.
