Graphic Designer - Events

Currently we are seeking a Graphic Designer who will play a pivotal role in designing the creative assets associated with our event marketing campaigns, including on-site signage, sponsor deliverables and more. This position is ideal for those looking to work in an exciting and fast-paced environment.
Accountabilities:
In the role you would be expected to:
• Design and update creative assets for event marketing campaigns, including emails, direct mail pieces and print, digital and banner ads
• Create and deliver sponsor assets, such as invitations, emails and more
• Responsible for on-site signage and stage design at conferences
• Resize and repurpose assets for Events website, virtual events and more
• Manage team of junior designers based in Gurgaon, India
• Consistently deliver high-quality assets without errors and in accordance with brand guidelines
• Deliver materials by previously agreed upon deadlines
• Ability to turn around pieces quickly according to changing needs
• Level of creativity and understanding of the Economist Events brand
Experience, skills and professional attributes:
To succeed in the role you must have:
• Graphic design
• BA degree preferred or equivalent work experience
• 2-3 years experience in advertising, marketing design, design or equivalent
• A compelling body of work that demonstrate ability to solve problems and a good eye for design
• Management experience a plus
• Attention to detail a must
• Able to multi-task effectively is critical
• Must understand time pressure and be able to meet deadlines
• Self-starter who can organize his/her time and manage projects effectively
• Good designer (includes ability to create and modify images)
• Curious, intelligent and creative
• Motivated and enthusiastic
• Strong communications skills (written and verbal)
To succeed in this role you will be able to demonstrate:
• Knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and PowerPoint is necessary
• Must be web-savvy andhave working knowledge of HTML and Dreamweaver
• Must be able to utilize basic motion design for animated ad units (Gif, Flash)
• Up-to-date knowledge of technology (current versions of design programs, new technology) and media trends (social media, apps, etc
