The Director of Global Technical Recruiting will work closely with key leaders to understand the organization’s global talent needs and develop and execute recruiting strategies to address them. They will ultimately have 3 direct reports while leading a global team of 25. Recruiting is sales/marketing and we want someone who gets it! We’re looking for someone to innovate, take risks, have fun and constantly come up with ways to take our world class recruiting organization to the next level.
The Opportunity:
• Build relationships with business leaders and HR business partners to understand business strategies and future talent needs
• Create and execute a global strategic plan to meet talent acquisition targets with a focus on proactive sourcing (pipelining).
• Build solid relationships with the business becoming a trusted advisor.
• Lead with data and conduct market trend analysis regarding competitors, talent pools/insights and market changes.
• Recruit, manage and lead a worldwide team of recruiters, coordinators and sourcers and motivate team members to success.
• Establish recruiting metrics to track and report the status of activities while holding the team accountable for results.
• Build recruiter capability (business acumen, partnering & influencing skills) and create a strong sense of global team unity and engagement.
• Partner with the Talent Acquisition Marketing/Branding Manager to develop external marketing campaigns and social media initiatives to increase candidate engagement and awareness of Autodesk.
• Reduce agency usage by building up the capability and credibility of the internal team.
• Challenge the status quo.
• Work on a few executive searches if bandwidth allows.
The Requirements:
• 15+ years of recruiting experience including 5+ years leading Talent Acquisition teams (preferably engineering recruiting) in a high tech environment.
• Ability to think globally and lead and inspire global teams.
• Love of metrics to drive performance and evaluate ROI of recruiting plans.
• Advanced consulting, relationship-building, collaboration, and influencing skills.
• Analytical skills and ability to work well with data to tell the talent story.
