The Show Producer for ILM Singapore manages feature film visual effects projects.
The Show Producer is responsible for the planning, scheduling, production and delivery of specific shows with a focus on the highest standard of quality, delivery on time and on budget, under the direction of the ILM Singapore Producer and in collaboration with ILM teams in California.
• Responsible for delivering the show(s) on time and on budget.
• Works closely with ILM Supervisor(s) and ILM Production to create overall show schedule(s), crew casting and the structure for each project.
• Partners with show Supervisor(s) to find solutions for creative and technical issues, providing ILM Singapore with preliminary budget/resource estimates and schedule requirements needed to complete the work.
• Partner with San Francisco leadership team to proactively ensure alignment when show sequences, shots or technology is shared between ILM San Francisco and ILM Singapore.
• Creates, organizes and maintains overall project schedule.
• Supervises day to day operations of the production crew, ensures milestones are met, adopts and maintains ILM best practices.
• During production, serves as principal ILM Singapore contact on the Show for non-creative issues, tracking and reporting progress of work, budgeting, and delivering cost/schedule changes to ensure ILM Singapore Finance and ILM California are updated as needed.
• Estimates project completion budgets and initiates cost controls for each production. Ensures that the body of work for each show is adequately detailed and changes are monitored and reported.
• Evaluates EFC with ILM Singapore production accountant to provide management with early, consistent, and accurate EFC reporting.
• Partner with ILM Singapore Producer to establish long term planning.
• Works with ILM Singapore Producer, Studio Supervisor and ILM Executive team to strategize organization and methodologies to be executed in ILM Singapore.
Production Planning
• Tracks and Participates in bid and change orders with Show Producer in California.
• Manage capacity for the Show, forecasting current and future personnel needs, including input from other Shows.
• Creatively manage crewing in order to avoid over time.
• Undertakes financial responsibility for the Show, running multiple scenarios of the schedule/budget and owns EFC to be able to alert Show Producer in California when required.
• Assists with Special Projects as needed.
People Management & Development
• Lead by example.
• Serves as a mentor for the production team.
• Fosters talent development and career growth for production crew and artists.
• Be point of contact to escalates issues such as day-to-day artist and Show issues .
• In collaboration with the Production Manager for Talent, cast the show(s) up for success from a crewing perspective; help resolve any personnel issue, provide performance feedback on production staff to help them learn and grow, as part of the end of show review and annual process.
• Leads show life cycle meetings; moderates Shows post mortem.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Film or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Eight years work experience in production management, including strong working knowledge of Visual FX techniques and terminology.
• Proficiency in Macs/PCs including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Must possess very strong organizational and communication skills and be able to handle a variety of tasks in an efficient manner while meeting deadlines.
• The role may likely require evenings and weekend work, depending on show delivery schedules.
• The role is based in Singapore and requires some travel.
