Crunchyroll is looking for a dynamic and highly-motivated leader to serve as as a Manager, Content Analytics. This position is primarily responsible for driving analytics and research associated with Crunchyroll’s content and audience, delivering actionable insights from both ad-hoc data analysis, and regular reporting. The Manager, Content Analytics will also generate key strategic work products and presentations to support management through critical business decisions. The right candidate will possess outstanding business acumen, technical skills, and creativity with a passion for problem-solving and driving real-world results.
Responsibilities
• Develop & manage an ongoing series of content performance metrics + regular reports spanning audience and content
• Develop and manage metadata strategy and process to insure optimal tracking of content over time
• Collaborate with Product & Engineering to leverage key content insights in pursuit of the best possible experience on the Crunchyroll service
• Support strategic decision-making frameworks with supporting insights for editorial, acquired and original programming efforts
• Collaborate with business leaders, supply regular ad-hoc research and insights in support of productions, partnerships and internal stakeholders
• Help drive continued international growth & expansion through insights and strategic analyses which factor regional influence above and beyond core metrics
• Maintain a constant cadence of queries and research to identify under-served segments and other growth opportunities to address our audiences
• Oversee a growing data-set with often disparate data-sources & types. Collaborate with Product & Data Science team to craft smart approaches to manage over time
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree with a major or emphasis in Business, Mathematics, Statistics or other quantitative field
• 2-4 years experience in management consulting, investment banking and/or entertainment/digital media company as an analyst, or a similarly demanding environment in which complex modeling and analysis is performed
• Strong analytical abilities/skills, including financial modeling and MS Excel
• Hands-on experience in data analysis with tools such as SQL
• Proven experience in identifying opportunities for business optimization and evaluating those initiatives
• Exceptional attention to detail and effective communications
• Desire to learn new things, ability to thrive in entrepreneurial setting, and an infectious passion for making things better
• Demonstrated experience pairing creative thinking with rigorous quantitative analysis
