Display Media Associate in NEW YORK, New York
Job Description:
Dow Jones is seeking a Display Media associate to actively participate in the management and optimization Display programs driving subscriptions for The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, and various other initiatives. This role will report to the SEM/Display manager and leverage skills and best practices to fill top funnel activity through content delivery and drive prospects down funnel to conversion. The ideal candidate will have experience managing Display programs with quantified direct response goals.
Essential:
1-2 years of knowledge pertaining Display programs through the Google Display Network or any of the major DSP exchanges (The Trade Desk, Media Math, TURN, RocketFuel, etc.).
DoubleClick (DFP, DCM, DBM) experience preferred.
Familiarity with 1st and 3rd party data integration (DMP) experience and how they can power intelligent bidding and customer segmentation preferred.
Working knowledge of campaign research and management, creative testing, bidding strategies, Display targeting capabilities, placement audits, day-parting, campaign budget management, mobile bid adjustments, geo fencing and all other nuances of strategically managing campaigns.
At minimum, intermediate level technical skills in the following applications: MS Excel/Google Sheets for custom reporting, data analysis and visualization.
Experience with Bing AdCenter, Yahoo! Gemini, Taboola and/or Outbrain for Native advertising and traffic arbitrage.
Candidate should have proven success in meeting and exceeding challenging targets.
An understanding on how various paid media channel interact and work together to meet business goals.
Ability to analyze and understand customer behavior and how LTV and churn factor into overall performance.
A creative problem solver, not afraid to dig into data sets to find the story within the numbers and boil down complex problems into actionable and impactful Display tactics.
Ability to thrive in a fast-past, results oriented environment where the break-neck pace of world and market news provide opportunities and challenges that can potentially impact media strategies and tactics on an ongoing and daily basis.
Preferred:
Understanding of relational databases, ideally with some experience using SQL or MySQL in conjunction with marketing functions.
Familiarity with javascipt and iframe pixel and cookie tracking technologies. Conceptual understanding of how URL configurations using dynamic parameters are utilized to power tracking schemas.
Bachelor degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Finance or any other quantitatively focused major of study
Plus:
Comprehension and understanding of the publishing industry, including industry challenges and trends.
Affinity for finance and news publications, as well as an understanding of the competitive landscape.
