Pearson Higher Education is the leading provider for educational solutions for the higher education market with a sharp focus on the efficacy of student outcomes. We have has an exceptional opening for a Regional Sales Manager within our Inside Sales group based in Columbus, OH
Regional Sales Managers, a senior sales management position, are responsible for roughly $150m in revenue and manage 3-4 Learning Technology Specialists and 3-5 district sales managers who in turn manage approximately 35 sales representatives. This is a key Leadership role where they are responsible for orchestrating a sales strategy to achieve the sales and editorial goals for the region and publishing divisions inclusive of custom solutions and technology platforms. Regional Managers hire, train and develop district managers for the region and oversee the attraction of talent into sales representative positions that call on colleges and universities. The Regional Manager is also accountable for analysis, planning, performance reviews, sales forecasts and financial management (inclusive of expense and sampling budgets).
Qualifications
This position requires an undergraduate college degree and significant sales and first line management experience within the educational courseware industry with demonstrated success. It requires strong sales presentation skills as well as account development skills. It requires strong leadership skills to motivate sales staff. Strong communication skills are critical as the Regional Manager will be working closely with a wide variety of internal departments at Pearson as well as working with a broad representation of our customer base.
