I. Job Summary | Major goals and objectives.
The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for assisting in developing and monitoring adherence to quality and testing standards in the development of Meredith Digital technology projects. Writes, revises, and verifies quality standards and test procedures to attain quality of applications economically and efficiently. This position requires the ability to gather and document testing requirements for web and digital applications. This person must work well in a collaborative/Agile environment.

• Follows & promotes standards for the enterprise’s Agile testing process including automated test script programming, documentation, naming conventions, and security.
• Assists in monitoring adherence to quality control standards in development and implementation of production applications.
• Assists in developing metrics to measure both quality and productivity.
• Assists in developing and monitoring test methods to measure the performance, including setting the appropriate specifications.
• Assists in developing appropriate audits to support business transactions and specific application needs.
• Works closely with application developers to ensure that hardware and software quality assurance control needs are met.
• Assists in the quality assurance management of the enterprise’s product release process such as test development, application testing, defect training, code archiving, version and document control.

• Testing will be conducted both manually and automated.
• Designs and executes test plans to ensure that business requirements and functional specifications meet objectives.
• Execute tests, log results and manage defects in test management system.
• Use recommended tool to inspect and debug templates, applications, etc.
• Assist to develop and maintain testing procedures for all new browser releases.
• Work with business analysts and project management group to review functional specifications.
• Write documentation to describe application evaluation, testing and problems identified for resolution.
• Responsible for successful completion of assigned tasks and projects.

III. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered.
Education:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Business Administration required, or equivalent education and experience.
Experience:
Minimum 4 years of experience working as a Quality Assurance Analyst understanding, documenting, and communicating quality and testing processes and procedures.
Test case development and considerable working knowledge of testing methodologies. Experience with HP Functional and Load testing tools or other automated tools. Selenium experience and Mobile application testing experience beneficial

• Candidate must have ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work well with people from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical knowledge.
• Candidate needs to be highly-motivated, self-directed and able to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
• Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
This position requires a self-motivated individual with excellent written and oral communication skills and experience in testing complex rules based applications. In addition, we are looking for an individual who is an excellent problem solver and team player.
