The Analytics & Insights Analyst role is a critical member of the North America Marketing team with key responsibilities for campaign segmentation & targeting, understanding & optimizing the customer journey, and measuring campaign performance across channels. This is a great opportunity for an individual to help transform how a marketing organization uses data & analytics to inform campaign strategy and drive business impact.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Analyze customer data from multiple sources to provide campaign strategists with actionable insights that inform campaign segmentation and targeting
• Translate campaign segmentation requirements into specific contact lists for marketing campaigns
• Analyze customer, transaction, marketing channel, and campaign data to help the organization better understand & optimize customer journeys for target audience segments
• Create analyses and reports that measure the effectiveness of campaigns against KPI targets and expectations
• Analyze campaign performance across channels to provide campaign strategists with insights and recommendations that help optimize audience segmentation, targeting, messaging, and channel mix
• Support the development of campaign performance dashboards that increase visibility to marketing KPIs and help the organization use data to drive business results
• Help campaign strategists understand and use key insights to optimize current campaigns and inform planning for subsequent campaigns
• Extract, cleanse, transform and prepare data from multiple, disconnected sources for use in analysis, modeling and reporting
• Use SQL queries, analytics tools (e.g. Tableau) and data modeling techniques to perform advanced data manipulation and uncover insights from large data sources
• Assist in determining the scope, timeline, approach and feasibility of analysis and reporting projects
• Collaborate with technology, marketing, and sales operations teams to share relevant data across groups and identify improvements to the customer data model
• Create ad-hoc analyses and reports to inform campaign planning and optimization
Qualifications
Required Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
• Bachelor’s degree
• 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in data analysis, data modeling and reporting
• Strong SQL experience is required; in particular, the ability to write complex queries to extract, transform, join and analyze data from multiple sources
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ideal candidate will be proficient at both creating analyses from large, disconnected data sets and able to extract key insights and actionable recommendations
• Experience with Tableau is a plus
• Experience working with Salesforce or other CRM data is a plus
• Able to manage concurrent projects with attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to translate business needs into analysis and reporting requirements
• Effective communication skills
