We’re looking for a senior leader in San Francisco, CA or Novi. MI to manage our overall Services Portfolio Management and Governance program and our vendor and asset team. The team is involved in overall EIS (IT) portfolio management, vendor contract negotiation, relationship management, asset management and analytics supporting all internal and external stakeholders of EIS (IT). The Role

The Director of Services Portfolio and Vendor Management will be responsible for providing vision and leadership to ensure the efficient operation of the Service Portfolio and Vendor Management teams. They will be responsible for ITSM service management portfolio program, contract management for SaaS, software, hardware, telecom & mobile and analytics & reporting.
This role will be responsible for our ITSM service management portfolio program and lead across all of our service teams to mature our service management program with service costing frameworks and templates that measures our IT services to create a service management portfolio that demonstrates financial service transparency.
As Autodesk works to comply with GDPR, this role will lead the program effort with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure we are always in compliance.
This position reports to the Vice President of Enterprise Infrastructure and Operations and will be part of the senior leadership team in IT.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
• Direct a global team of 10+ employees and 10+ consultants
• Provides thought leadership in vendor strategy, operations, service cost optimizations, service portfolio maturity, innovation and efficiency improvements
• Manage and optimize vendor and asset operations for our global IT operations and other external business unit stakeholders
• Responsible for overall Services Portfolio Management and Governance
• Develops and publishes Service Performance Measurement framework & KPIs
• Provides leadership for overall Service portfolio management program to optimize and standardize our current service management (ITSM) processes, to support the improvements for service experience, performance, operations & analytics.
• Leads internal stakeholders and vendors to meet regulation deadlines General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and governance
• Work across service owners and service managers to create service costing frameworks and maintain financial service portfolio for all IT services
• Prepare and maintain accurate budgets and other financials to support vendor operations, responsibilities, goals and objectives
• Prepare complex analytics, metrics, dashboards to demonstrate business problems, solutions, benefits for vendor and asset management team
• Responsible and accountable for developing a strategic business plan for the service portfolio and vendor management department that will meet current and future business goals
• Successful translation of organizational focus and strategic objectives to vendors
• Oversees the implementation of asset management technology projects across multiple teams
• Develops, achieves and maintains the reporting on portfolio level Key Performance Indicators
• Lead the evaluation of new business processes or process improvement opportunities
• Ensure that all of the terms and conditions of an agreement are thoroughly reviewed and documented, and risk to Autodesk is mitigated.
• Implementation of risk management plans, quality agreements, and robust relationship management plans
• Responsible for day to day IT asset management and long-term strategic management of software and technology-related hardware within the organization
• Oversees the maintenance and inventory of business contract data including the support, warranty, lease, maintenance and software contract and license information
• Ensures that IT Service Managers renew and re-negotiate their contracts timely and with cost optimization, cost avoidance, savings or equal contract value
• Ensures creation of accurate purchase requisitions through approval process and timely vendor payment
• Sustains and optimizes Asset management processes and planning, monitoring, and recording of software license and/or hardware assets to ensure compliance with vendor contracts.
• Leads the forming of procurement strategies to optimize technology spend across the organization.
• Develops and implement procedures for tracking company assets to oversee quality control throughout their lifecycles.
What you need to succeed
• Holds an MBA or Masters degree from a top-tier program, or equivalent experience
• 10+ years IT experience or applicable IT vendor/asset management role
• 5+ years of experience in leadership roles (Manager roles)
• 2+ year experience with IT Service Management (ITSM)
• Experience developing and managing an ITSM Service Portfolio Management Program
• Demonstrated strong analytical skills and ability to manage complex budgets and other financials using Microsoft Excel
• Experience sustaining and optimizing asset inventory systems
• Experience with asset management tools, CMDB asset maintenance, governance and control
• Experience successfully implementing asset & inventory automation solutions
• Exposure to General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
• Able to manage a team of highly skilled vendor and asset managers and analysts
• Experience in effective and successful vendor negotiations to optimize, reduce costs and keep IT budget on track
• Strong ability to lead, manage teams and motivate subordinates
• Influence while maintaining positive business relationships
• Comfortable presenting to executive staff or leadership staff and advocating for the right outcome
• Experience with all aspects of vendor oversight or alliance management; from contract development, selection, to performance management
• Experience with developing and managing vendor governance models at a functional or cross organizational level
• Demonstrated success as an escalation point, leading portfolio level issue resolution
• Demonstrated understanding of organizational or functional goals through achievement of business objectives with strategic or emerging vendors
• Demonstrates ability to plan and organize agreement review discussions.
• Collaborates with vendors, purchasing, security, internal controls and legal counsel to resolve agreement issues.
• Translates the vision and requests of functional leadership with accuracy to vendors
• Drives for consistency, process harmonization, and innovation across vendors
• Examines complex functional issues, problem solves and drives for global best practices
• Provides input in the selection process of strategic or emerging vendors
• Experience with inventory of contract and asset data process and procedures
• Experience with complete vendor management lifecycle
