Position Summary:
We are one of the largest TV groups in Europe, providing quality entertainment to the Scandinavian and Eastern European regions consisting of 36 unique feeds of 13 channels.
Based within the Content Ops Department, the Traffic Co-ordinator is responsible for ensuring all programme materials are available for transmission by co-ordinating storage, preparation and delivery of both tape and file based material.
Responsibilities:
• Overseeing all deliveries to Chiswick Park
• Ensuring all incoming and outgoing material is logged in correctly
• Ensuring all incoming material (tapes and files) is ingested in timely fashion
• Prioritizing urgent tapes and files on daily basis
• Dealing with distributor dispatch requests and ensuring material is dispatched within the specified time period
• Close interaction with the ingest department
• Checking TX schedules for new material
• Dealing with rejected material and requesting replacements
• Accurately cataloguing a full range of media stored within the library
• To understand and contribute to library procedures and be able to accurately and concisely respond to queries with regard to library material
• Co-ordinate the movement of tapes and files
• Fielding general queries from internal clients and resolving
• Regular housekeeping of all storage
• To maintain a tidy library and be aware of health& safety procedures in the storage of materials
Requirements:
• Experience within a busy traffic department
• Knowledge of tape and file formats
• Computer literate – good use of excel and databases
• Technical: knowledge of Television processes/terminology, previous use of broadcasting systems, Barcode systems
• Excellent organisational/administrative skills and attention to detail
• Excellent people and interpersonal skills, good team player
• Flexibility and ability to adapt to different demands
• High levels of initiative, motivation and time management
• Commitment to continue improvement
• Ability to handle working within a pressurised and fast paced environment
Desirable:
• Experience in ordering and tracking content
• Experience within a post-production library
