Summary
The Associate Graphic Designer is responsible for working with senior designers to develop original design for emails, brochures, websites, newsletters, press releases, print ads, posters, conferences/trade shows, fliers and other direct response marketing materials. This person will also review marketing, media or client-developed content to ensure brand consistency/standards are met, formatting is aligned to specifications, copy is grammatically correct and materials are relevant to the audience.
This entry-level position requires candidates who can collaborate effectively with internal and external team members to assist in creating assets using established brand voices and style guides. The ideal candidate works well under the direction of senior-level team members, responds well to internal critiques, can quickly understand project requirements for day-to-day asset development and can prioritize multiple projects to meet deadlines.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working in Adobe Creative Cloud and understands design fundamentals. The candidate also should possess basic HTML/CSS skills with proficiency for lower-level coding projects. The candidate also should understand Web trends and technologies. This position requires an individual who is a good time manager and who can maintain quality during periods of heavy work.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in designing websites, landing pages, web forms, emails, social media graphics, and a variety of marketing print assets that align with partner requirements
• Adhere to QA procedures and team development best practices
• Stock imagery search and download for internal and external use
• Collaborate with web developers and copywriters to elevate design and functionality
• Work effectively within Agile/Scrum environment
Qualifications
General Qualifications:
• 4-year degree from an accredited institution in design, marketing or related field, OR appropriate combination of education and significant experience
• Minimum of two (2) years of professional design experience
• Adobe Creative Suite
• General understanding of methods and techniques of graphic design layout, color theory and typography
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while being mindful of deadlines
• Ability to take direction from senior graphic designers and management
• Some experience working within and maintaining client identity standards across channels
• Understanding of web design/optimization and mobile responsiveness
• Understanding of SEO best practices
• Good communication skills
• Detail-oriented
