Job Summary
The Media Planner, Social is a client-facing position which requires an individual to work well across multiple departments. This individual is expected to show resourcefulness, exhibit accountability, work independently and demonstrate initiative. As a Social Media Planner, you will support social media planning across client brands.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
60% Liaise across various departments including Social Strategy, Social Marketplace,
Digital Planning, and Brand Strategy to develop and implement social strategy unique to each brand
• Partner with brand and digital planning teams to ensure social media strategy, tactics, and learnings ladder up to larger digital and brand initiatives
• Partner with Marketplace team to make optimizations, lead reporting, and develop insights and learnings for each brand and portfolio
• Lead creation and dissemination of social-based POVs, best practices, and platform updates internally, to partner agencies, and clients
25% Participate in annual brand planning and strategic exercises, client education, landscape updates, and innovation presentations
15% Lead day-to-day relationship with partner social agencies
Knowledge and Skills Required
• 1.5 - 3 years previous digital and social media experience
• Advanced computer knowledge (Excel, Powerpoint)
• Strong writing, presentation and strategic and analytical thinking skills
• Able to work independently and in a team environment
• Problem solver with the ability to develop creative solutions
• Nimble and flexible to succeed in a fast-paced environment and handle ad hoc requests
