Who We Are:
Twitter IT is looking for a world-class Senior AV Design Engineer who is passionate about providing an amazing customer experience and loves to solve technical problems at a global scale. Our team works cross functionally with our partners in IT Systems, Engineering Operations, Security, and other teams to coordinate work, handle ticket escalations and resolve issues. We on-board new employees, provision new hardware, provide amazing support, and build tools and technology that connect our employees across the globe. Ultimately we are responsible for supporting Twitter employees in over 30 offices in 18 different countries.
What You’ll Do:
You will be our ultimate technical resource for all things AV, constantly looking for new and innovative solutions to better #Simplify our customer experience. Troubleshooting audio/video issues, thinking about cable management and routing, crawling under tables, building automation and proactive monitoring tools, all while pushing the boundaries in terms of Crestron control programing - no job is too small or large. You will partner with our global AV operations and End User Support teams to build out new AV solutions, troubleshoot issues, and push new standards to keep our conference rooms and event spaces in top performance. You will do the following:
• Act as subject matter expert for the design and support of Twitter’s global AV systems
• Support, maintain, and evolve the standards for our core AV technology
• Work with external/internal teams to design, plan, and implement global upgrades, integrations, reporting, and automation.
• Communicate status to IT management, support team, and internal partners throughout all phases of AV projects
• Be a technical point of contact and Tier 4 escalation path for our global IT End User Services teams
• Work with the Help Desk, Systems Administrators, Workplace, and other teams to identify and resolve escalations and outages

• You are excellent at coordinating projects, and love the challenges associated with managing distributed systems and technologies around the world

• You recognize that standardization is the watchword for global support operations, and understand how to optimize at scale.
Requirements:
• 3-5 years experience in AV support and design in a professional environment
• Professional integration experience with Crestron, Extron, Vaddio, Lifesize, ClearOne, Symmetrix, and similar technologies
• Ability to program Crestron control systems and all the components associated with conference room automation
• Experience programing BiAmp and ClearOne DSP systems for in room audio including the use of beamforming technologies
• Knowledge and ability to terminate various audio and data connections
• Experience working with Video Conferencing systems: Chrome for Meetings, LifeSize, BlueJeans
• Understand Network fundamentals (DHCP, DNS, VPN, etc)
• Experience and expertise with evaluating line drawings, signal flow, and core AV concepts
• Knowledge of IT Infrastructure technologies and concepts
• Extensive knowledge of MacOS (10.10.x, 10.11.x, 10.12.x), iOS, and Android
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills
• Experience reviewing CAD drawings
• Some travel required to support global projects
Desired:
• Live audio production experience
• CTS, Crestron DM, or similar certification
• Ability to write Crestron SIMPL+
• Experience with SIMPL#, C#, and other web-based languages
• GSuite Enterprise Experience
• LDAP and Active Directory experience
• B.S. in Audio Engineering, Sound Reinforcement or equivalent industry experience
