Job Summary:

The Database Administrator reports to the Database Administration Manager. The service audience is iHeartMedia 3rd tier support personnel, and this position interacts with peers in IHMIT’s Innovations group, as well as top-tier vendor support. Success is realized when the company employees and executives are able to access data and systems that depend upon data in a seamless and effortless manner and when outages are repaired quickly with proper communications to customers and IHMIT employees.

Management
• Oversee daily operations, management of technology toolset, processes, incident management
• Leads initiatives, provide training and serve as a technical resource for other Systems Engineers
• Attend both scheduled and Ad Hoc meetings as necessary to assist in planning, or problem resolution, or to assign resources as needed
• Manages problem or escalated tickets and tasks and out of cycle requests from systems/software owners
• Identify opportunities to provide systems access and training to the service desk team to reduce the number of incidents
• Provide mentoring and leadership to less experienced team members
Engineering/Operations
• Drive and implement process and automation improvements
• Responsible for management of production systems, backups and storage
• Microsoft System Center 2012 Operations Manager configuration and administration, deployment, troubleshooting and best practice implementation.
• Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager administration, troubleshooting and best practice implementation and performance tuning.
• Provide technical assistance as needed to facilitate resolution of change requests and incidents
• Analyze systems issues and engage internal subject matter experts as required for resolution
• Create and maintain system documentation for domain and collaboration technologies, including installation, configuration and appropriate troubleshooting steps
• Participate in capacity planning, design and implementation and project management
• Performs on-call activities as needed for the environment and technologies
