Job Description:
Sr. Analyst, GFO, Accounts Payable/Tax Compliance
Job Description: The Accounts Payable/Tax Compliance Analyst role has been
created to perform a detailed review of all tax documentation and related support
during the supplier onboarding process for Dow Jones and their shared services
clients.
Roles and Responsibilities/skills:
Review suppler tax forms (W-9, W-8 various versions) for completeness and
accuracy
Clear exceptions with tax form submissions with suppliers
Confirm sourcing statements obtained during supplier onboarding workflow
are accurate with supplier/business contacts as needed
Liaise with the tax team to review withholding obligations during vendor
setup, where required
Provide final approvals on all vendor setups within accounts payable module
within ERP to confirm full satisfaction of onboarding requirements
Reconcile 1042 withholdings and ensure remittances to the IRS are done in
accordance with agreed to timing
Assist with accounts payable and purchase to pay responsibilities on an as
needed basis
Ad hoc P2P related projects
Qualifications:
Knowledge of US tax withholding requirements for non-US persons (1042)
In depth working knowledge and experience in global payment processing
Ability to work across various teams and communicate effectively
Highly organized and detail oriented
Capability to work with offshore staff
Self starter who questions the standard and thinks “outside the box”
Ability to listen and comprehend feedback
Highly organized and detail oriented
Able to interact with all levels
Able to interpret and summarize complex ideas
Ability to prioritize
Experience in working in Shared Services environment a plus
Education & Experience:
Bachelor Degree preferred, or extensive equivalent experience
6-8 years of accounts payable and/or tax experience
Working experience within a global organization
