The Director Curriculum and Content position is responsible for training, coaching and managing the Content Specialist team, which is comprised of the subject matter experts and presenters in the company. They will work with account executives in key accounts to plan and in some cases, deliver sales presentations and close sales opportunities. The Director will set parameters and oversee the scheduling of Content Specialist activities. S/he will identify product and presentation training needs for Content Specialists and oversee roll out plans with key regional product teams.
Job Responsibilities:
• Full management duties over the team of Content Specialists: hire, train, develop, evaluate and coach the team on competitive sales presentations, implementations, and delivery tools.
• Deliver sales presentations (goal 2-3 a month, not to exceed 4) in specialized content areas.
• During Back-to-School season, the Director and team work with Service leaders to provide Getting Started training to customers.
• Support product presentations and organize presentations to address customer needs.
• Utilize key selling drivers to inform sales campaigns and presentations.
• Coach and mentor Senior Content Specialists in order to develop a succession planning.
• Deploy staff to assist account executives in key accounts.
• Oversee the scheduling of content specialist services based on national guidelines.
• Work collaboratively with leaders within Marketing, the Sales organization, and CSG on sales messaging, sales testing, and collateral needs.
• Work collaboratively with the Sales Training and Development group to assist in developing key sessions and turnkey training to national staff.
• Performs other duties as assigned/needed.
***This position can be based anywhere in CA that is accessible to a major airport.
Qualifications
Required Experience/Education/Skills:
• Must have 3 – 5+ years of relevant management/leadership experience.
• A minimum of 3 – 5+ years of successful educational consulting, sales, and/or presentation experience.
• Must have experience with K12 education and/or educational publishing.
• Bachelor's Degree in Education or other job related discipline; Master’s Degree preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office suite; Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
• Experience with online presentation tools such WebEx.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Collaboration skills.
• Highly organized and able to transfer strategies into actions that deliver results.
• Outstanding presentation skills with ability to develop same skills in others.
Travel/Hours:
• Ability to work irregular hours, including weekends.
• Must be able to travel extensively up to 80% - driving, flying and frequent overnight travel.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clear driving record.
