Senior Director, Software Engineering- Sales Domain
Job Summary:
Responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight to all aspects of the Business Services Delivery Software Development, System Support and the department's overall projects and activities. Develops and implements strategies, development standards, project standards, performance, resiliency standards, and metrics. Works with Supervisors, Managers, and Architects to ensure all applications meet architectural specifications and business requirements.
Provides leadership and direction for diverse and complex functions within the Business Services Delivery team. Contributes to the development of the organization's business and technical strategy. Interprets business strategy and develops organizational objectives to align with this strategy. Typically manages multiple teams of professionals.
Core Responsibilities:
-Creates and drives strategies in alignment with the Business Services, Systems Engineering, and the Company's overall vision and business goals.
-Sets standards and drives Agile and Dev/Ops methods across the department.
-Leads the Software Development and Engineering team in the development of new software, web applications, reporting solutions, leads the implementation and configuration of commercial applications, and leads the continued support for existing applications and applications in development. Oversees implementation initiatives, software updates, and infrastructure initiatives.
-Works with Supervisors and Managers to ensure all deliverables adhere to deadlines, specifications, and budgets. Develops and implements performance and resiliency metrics. Reviews deliverables and reports progress to the leadership team.
-Prepares and manages budget(s) and financial targets.
-Communicates and establishes strong relationships with business partners, vendors, and other functional areas of the company.
-Provides leadership and direction to department personnel from management to non-exempt employees. Provides leadership and direction to vendors from staff-augmentation to full managed service engagements.
-Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
-Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
-Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Job Specification:
-Bachelors Degree or Equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering
-Generally requires 12+ years related experience
-Experience with Telecommunications and Commercial Service implementations is a must
Experience with sales domain (Ex. Salesforce) is highly desired. Solid understanding of order to cash cycle
