Contractor Coordinator
Role Overview
To ensure there is a consistent, compliant and streamlined approach to the producing and management of contracts for non-employees and all other processes that are connected.
The individual will work closely with the Head of Finance, Senior Business Managers, HR, wider Finance team and Legal across Peterborough and London to build an accurate reflection of the non-employee workforce by maintaining a database and proactively managing the contract/payment process compliantly and in line with News UK process and policy.
Key Responsibilities include:
• Maintaining a database of all non-employees and those on non-employee contracts.
• Working collaboratively with all business areas to ensure legal and compliance satisfaction.
• Monitoring all renewal documentation ensuring these are proactively managed.
• Ensuring all supporting documentation is in place.
• Providing a streamlined function for all non-employee compliance.
• Identifying areas of improvement working with the relevant departments to ensure implementation where necessary.
Experience and Skill set Required:
• A good knowledge of Excel and Word.
• Experience liaising with multiple departments at any one time
• Proactive, accurate and quick thinking.
• Attention to detail is a must.
• Ability to create clear processes, involving all stakeholders.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills – able to build effective relationships and shape mutually beneficial outcomes.
• Excellent organisational skills, and ability to prioritise
• Analytical and problem solving skills.
• Flexible and adaptable to a changing business environment.
• Collaboration across departments/functions to find solutions.
• Resilience in an environment of heavily competing agendas and priorities.
