The Martech Operations Manager will engage with diverse aspects of the business globally, providing an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to grow and to shape the new way that business is conducted in digital technology, digital marketing, and technology operations. The successful candidate will have had experience and/or interest in several key functional areas – combining project management, data and web fluency, algorithmic thinking, problem solving, and a passion for enabling marketing for the new world through technology and user experience. The role is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to learn from martech leaders as well as contribute to the growing adoption of technology-driven thinking in content strategy.
The role is in technical project management and operations - and will be instrumental in our goal of implementing flawless and wholly accountable digital acquisition initiatives.
Accountabilities:
In this role you will be expected to:
• Maintain an attitude of accountability while leading projects to achieve deadlines, budgetary goals, and business partner expectations
• Coordinate and influencing work backlogs with the web infrastructure product and development teams to deliver cross-functional and cross-departmental work on a timely basis
• Maintain GDA work backlogs and running regular team Project Ops communications
• Assist in auditing existing and socializing new systems and processes to improve attribution across our suite of digital marketing products (apps, websites, ads, content, creative, etc.)
• Coach marketing managers on the delivery of digital initiatives, from scope definition to delivery into coordinating project retrospectives, reporting, and reconciliation
• Work with internal departments and external partners (Ad-serving, development, creative, strategic) to create positive, collaborative relationships to deliver high quality deliverables
• Help to evangelise marketing technology and tools and staying abreast of the evolving industry and its impact on our business on a day-to-day basis
• Assist in creating and maintaining standardised pre-launch briefs and tools, and post-launch processes
• Help to develop a culture of “flawless” launches
Experience, skills and professional attributes:
To succeed in the role you must have:
• Relevant degree or proven experience
• Strong, mixed digital marketing, agile PM, and technical background in web technology in a cross-functional role
• The ability to understand complex technology concepts and ideas
• Fluency in data flow, meaning, concepts, and language
• An understanding of web infrastructure and app analytics/attribution products and tools
• An understanding of digital media operations and performance tracking techniques across all key channels including search, display, email, mobile and social
The following are desirable:
• Experience in a digital agency, ad-ops vendor or client/brand organisation
• Experience in visual communication and diagramming/prototyping flows and creative systems design
• Exposure to subscription type businesses, and/or a background in systems design or innovation
• Familiarity with front-end HTML/JS coding, *nix scripting, Google Marketing ecosystem, Facebook/social APIs, Programmatic,, Salesforce, Drupal, UX/UI paradigms, prototyping, data modelling and taxonomies
• Project Management certifications (CSM, CSPO, etc.)
