This exciting role within the HarperCollins Children’s Books Digital Team will support the Department in all capacities by collaborating with multiple teams in the coordination and execution of digital marketing campaigns, and help create and manage content that grows engagement and drives book sales. The ideal candidate is extremely detail-oriented and organized, able to balance creativity with critical thinking and comfortable working in a fast paced, ever changing environment.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and serve as day-to-day point person for department projects.
• Maintain and fine-tune department operations process and procedure documents.
• Communicate with internal teams to gather key priorities that require digital support.
• Schedule key internal meetings & take/distribute meeting notes.
• Support the Digital Team in day-to-day marketing responsibilities and deliverables.
• Write and edit creative, original content for distribution across consumer channels.
• Explore new ways to engage and reach our target audience.
• Research and manage social media influencer contact list.
• Stay up-to-date with digital marketing trends and potential new channels and strategies to keep us ahead.
• Work closely with the Social Media Manager to help monitor, manage, engage, and track social conversation as well as develop quarterly title spreadsheets for content marketing strategy.
• Support Director of Video with shoot prep, scheduling, video platform management and distribution.
Qualifications:
• 1 to 2 years’ professional work experience in digital and/or social media
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
• Effective time management skills – an organized individual who can prioritize and meet deadlines
• Sharp understanding of social and video marketing trends and emerging platforms and technologies
• Exceptional listening, written and verbal communication skills with great attention to detail
• Collaborative team player able to integrate with a diverse team across multiple departments
• Proven ability to think creatively, strategically and tactically
• Content development and calendar management, including creative and knowledge of Photoshop, web design, maintenance, development & CMS tools a plus
• Must be a pop culture enthusiast & book lover
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Advertising, PR, Journalism, English or another related field preferred
