Position Details
The Regional Takeaway Specialist will develop and implement proactive, short-term and long-term strategies to win key adoptions at our most important accounts throughout the assigned geography. His/her activities will include:
• Analyzing each key account from multiple perspectives, including:
◦ the department level: identify trends that may impact multiple courses.
◦ the course level: target key take-away adoptions and existing adoptions that are in flux or in jeopardy.
• Coordinating editorial and marketing initiatives (such as content reviews, forum attendance and product development) to position Pearson favorably when the adoption opens.
• Actively working open adoptions that require content knowledge and technology expertise.
• Coordinating the Pearson-wide sales team needed to win these adoptions.
• Planning, driving attendance, and hosting events. These events will transcend particular territories and thus reach wider audiences.
• Coordinating activities and training of our Campus Champions (school-specific ‘Faculty Advocates’).
• S/he will create and share superior sales tools, thus expanding her reach and impact.
• S/he will be responsible for training her Reps on product knowledge, selling skills, and relevant technology.
Qualifications
• Successful track record in exceeding assigned sales targets, with emphasis in Higher Education
• Experience and success in leading and/or training sales people
• Expertise selling digital solutions
• Ability and willingness to travel
• Leadership skills
