Summary
Comcast Spotlight cares deeply about ensuring that our clients receive the best customer service possible. The foundation of customer service is knowing your customer, and Spotlight knows that advertisers are keen to use data to inform their planning and buying of media schedules. This new Product Director, Audience role will focus on identifying solutions and opportunities that Spotlight can bring to our customers that help them find and understand their audience across Spotlight's inventory in linear, VOD, OTT, and display. You will be able to extend our capabilities in audience definition, strengthen our solutions related to audience targeting, identify opportunities to leverage our viewership data, and, in the end, make buying an audience across any screen an operationally straightforward task. Your customers will range from internal groups hungry for insights about our audience across all inventory types, to small local and mid sized businesses interested in maximizing the effectiveness of the ad spend to national and regional advertisers who need solutions that fit within how they buy all of their media partners. Our sales staff is primed for a roadmap based on leveraging audience and viewership data that can significantly grow revenues.
To be successful in this role you need to have prior experience working at a data driven company, preferably in the advertising space, a deep curiosity for how Spotlight sees the world, amazing networking skills so that you can leverage peers from across the organization, and experience managing product solutions built out by vendors or external development teams. You love whipping up business requirements, user stories, and product roadmaps to evangelize your vision. And, you are comfortable with ownership and accompanying accountability, because you know you are the best champion for your users and their needs.
Core Responsibilities
• Gather business requirements from customers, research team, sales and identify possible solutions to meet those needs.
• Create product roadmap that:
• Provides scalable solutions so more of our customers can get audience insights.
• Improves planning/forecasting by audience
• Integrates new data sources proactively
• Creates evidence necessary to prove ROI
• Provide extensive business requirement documentation to vendors and ensure product roadmap can be achieved.
• Function as product owner and be SPOC to vendor for wide variety of stakeholder needs related to Audience.
• Applies expertise in state-of-the-art product technologies and is relied on by top management to serve as a proxy for the market.
• Develops business cases and supporting documentation.
• Ensures customer needs are met with vendor provided solutions. Provides product support and documentation as needed to ensure product solution success.
• Demonstrates excellent project management skills, with a proven track record of successful delivery of projects on time, in line with budget expectations and to strategy.
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
