The Retail Strategist is responsible for managing and optimizing in-store inventory that drives sales, margin and store performance for the company through the formulation and execution of effective allocation strategies. The Retail Strategist is a highly collaborative role and partners closely with a variety of cross functional teams to maximize sales. The position will report directly to the Vice President of AEG Merchandise.
Essential Duties:
1.Strategize and allocate merchandise inventory allocations through effective Allocation Plan analysis
2.Allocate and manage weekly fashion replenishment based on analysis of store and ecommerce performance, trend and product performance, and promotional, event, visual and marketing needs
3.Cultivate brand identity through merchandise activation and marketing initiatives
4.Manage and launch merchandise collections through ecommerce platforms
5.Work closely with Merchant, Planners, and Brand ambassadors to collaborate and execute allocation strategies, understand and incorporate Retail strategies (Visual, Product, Marketing, Promotional) ensuring alignment with cross-functional partners
6.Develop and provide appropriate ad-hoc analysis and recommendations to influence buy plan and assortment strategies
7.Develop thorough knowledge of store, district, and regional level performance, variances, trends and attributes (store and product) through extensive data analysis and communication
8.Develop, allocate, and monitor store opening assortment and unit plans for both new stores and remodel stores that ensure appropriate opening stock levels
Required Qualifications (Job Knowledge, Skills, and Education):
1.A minimum education level of: Bachelor of Arts/Sciences Degree (4-year) in Finance, Economics, Business or related field
2.Years of related work experience: 2-4 years of related analytical experience
3.Experience in retail merchandise preferably in the sporting and entertainment industry
4.Experience analyzing, interpreting, and presenting data
5.Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills with ability to manage large amounts of data
6.Strong listening, communication, and presentation skills
7.Ability to effectively interact with team members, cross-functional and field partners at all levels
8.Advanced knowledge of MS Excel required (including pivot tables, V-lookup, etc.)
9.Excellent written and verbal communication skills
10.Proven understanding of basic financial measures (metrics) and retail math
