Job Summary
We are currently looking to hire a Social Media – Social Marketplace Buyer Intern to work with our clients’ social media and relationship marketing efforts. This position is ideal for someone who is interested in pursuing a career in Interactive Media or Social Marketing Paid Buying.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
This position is for a RECENT COLLEGE GRADUATE - to work on-site, full time in the New York City Offices of Horizon Media learning the ins and outs of the social marketplace paid social media world. Position will last approximately three months and could potentially lead to full time employment
Projects include:
• Working with the analytics / statistics of a media buy
• Working in the dashboards with the social buying team to buy paid social media ad space
• Assisting in data aggregation and reporting tasks
• Assisting buying teams with campaign recommendations and insights
• Monitoring buzz in various online environments, i.e. blogs, Twitter, etc.
• Brainstorming and developing proposals for social media campaigns
• Reporting and case study generation, working closely with buyers
• Assisting in team admin, scheduling meetings, vendor communication etc.

Knowledge and Skills Required
Candidates must be passionate about social and emerging media and exhibit creativity. Candidates must also be self-motivated, ambitious and demonstrate the ability to flourish in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidate will have some background in digital statistics / analytics and / or marketing and be very comfortable in excel.
