Digital Analytics Specialist

The Digital Analytics Specialist (DAS) will manage day-to-day site measurement and testing related activities. The DAS will align closely with e-mail marketing and analytics manager in order to define comprehensive measurement strategies for Hanley Wood Marketing (HWM) clients and to ensure delivery of actionable insights. They will partner closely with client services on matters related to quantitative and qualitative analysis of web, e-mail and social media marketing environments, landing page and conversion path optimization and alignment on measurement strategy. They will also partner closely with content strategists to inform and evolve content execution and performance. The DAS should be able to present reporting, insights and recommendations to clients clearly and succinctly.
This individual should possess a data-driven mindset, always seeking opportunities to leverage meaningful data to drive decision making, fuel content creation and inform optimizations.
Primary Essential Duties:
• Serve as day-to-day analytics lead across all client engagemen
• Develop all weekly, monthly and quarterly reports and dashboards
• Analyze site and media behavior in order to provide thoughtful, actionable insights and specific recommendations for optimization
• Develop quantitative analyses, custom models and ad hoc reports to effectively monitor performance, trends, and opportunities across clients’ digital assets
• Ensure that third-party data providers accurately measure and report on sites and platforms
• Work with e-mail marketing and analytics manager, client services and content strategists to define KPI’s for success and track against them and implement measurement programs
• Researches and writes reports for clients about trends, issues and opportunities in measurement trends and technology
• QA Test websites in development to ensure all goals can be measured adequately
Experience and Technical Skills Required:
• 3-5 years’ experience in analytics, digital or social media related
• Possesses the unique ability to understand large quantities of data, but be able to present clearly and digestibly to clients
• Demonstrated ability to create analyses that move beyond an explanation of ‘what happened’ to ‘why it happened’ and ‘what should be done’
• Ability to troubleshoot, identify patterns, and generate new approaches to content experience modeling and reporting
• Highly proficient with Adobe SiteCatalyst and Google Analytics (reporting and implementation)
• Highly experienced with Google Tag Manager
• Strong analytical skills both quantitative and qualitative
• Self-starter, with strong ability to initiate projects and see-through to completionAdvanced PowerPoint, Excel and presentation skills
• Knowledge of Javascript a plus
Other Talents Required:
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at the same time
• Agency or consulting experience preferred
Education and Certifications Required:
B.S. or B.A. degree required
