Job Description
BUILD is a live interview series like no other—a chance for fans to sit inches away from some of today’s biggest names in entertainment, tech, fashion and business as they share the stories behind their projects and passions. Every conversation yields insights, inspiration and plenty of surprises as moderators and audience members ask questions. It all happens several times a week live at Oath's headquarters in NYC and live-streamed at AOL.com. The spirit is offering our guest the most positive opportunity to share their projects, their perspectives and their passions in a thoughtful and safe environment of their fans.
In this role, you will do a variety of tasks, including, but not limited to:
• Attend live BUILD interviews as an enthusiastic audience member (sometimes up to 6 per day)
• Promote BUILD Series by live tweeting and snapchatting during shows
• Curate thoughtful questions to ask guest speakers
• Write brief articles about BUILD that may be published on AOL.com or The Huffington Post
• Run check-ins for each event using EventBrite and interacting with the public
• Encourage people on the street outside our studio to come in and check out the show
• Support with ad hoc requests in the physical production of BUILD
• Distribute microphones to audience members during Q&A sessions
Qualifications
Who we’re looking for:
• You’re an actively enrolled college student with a demonstrated passion for social media and digital content
• You can intern 3 days/week for a period of 4 months, up to 24 hours/week
• You love watching long-form interviews, especially about Entertainment
• You’re an active social media user on your own—if you don’t have an active profile on most (if not all) major platforms, this job is probably not the role for you!
• You’re a master of grammar, have excellent writing skills and impeccable attention to detail
• You’re on the cusp of and/or have an insatiable appetite for entertainment news and pop culture
