Overview and Responsibilities
The VP of Data Analytics is responsible for driving impactful data exploration and data visualization projects in the theatrical marketing field. He/she will work with front-end tools related to the core business and interact with the higher management of the organization. Additionally, he/she will develop algorithms and predictive models to help answer key business questions. Lastly, he/she may partner with key stakeholders in the IT organization to assist with the capture, storage, and processing of the data itself.
Basic Qualifications
• 8+ years working in the entertainment marketing field, studio and agency experience or CPG organization.
• High level capacity to be a strong communicator, collaborator and influencer across teams
• Self-starter with strong interpersonal skills
• Strong data visualization and storytelling skills.
• Ability to communicate ideas in a fast paced creative environment
• Ability to work effectively in a highly matrix organization.
• Strong creative sensibilities.
• Willing to take risks, be courageous, speak up and share opinions.
• Highly collaborative with the ability to be proactive and resourceful.
• Bachelor’s degree minimum. Preferably a degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related field
Additional Qualifications
Technical Skill Requirements:
• Business process analysis, and capability of working directly with the business team
• Advanced knowledge in mathematics, statistics and research techniques.
• Expert in key relational database / statistical tools – SQL, Python, R
• Excellent understanding of the different modelling techniques that can be applied to a given problem (such as segmentation, classification, association), capable of creating predictive models
• Understanding of Hadoop
