WPHL-TV in Philadelphia, a Tribune Broadcasting television station, is seeking News Interns.
Responsibilities:
Interns will learn about production of a live morning television newscast. Primary duties include operation of teleprompter, transcribing segments, and assisting multi-media journalists with the production of segments. Other opportunities exist for those who are interested in learning more about writing, editing, producing and directing.
Qualifications:
Students must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, undergraduate or graduate program, have completed their sophomore year and receiving credit. Strong communication and people skills and the ability to multi-task under deadline pressure are necessary. Must be able to report to work in the very early morning hours. Previous television news experience preferred, but not required. Estimated hours per week is 10 per week. This is a paid internship.
