Analyst, Digital Partner Analytics & Market Development
A little bit about our team:
As part of the Business Development team, the Digital Partner Analytics and Market Development team is responsible for driving insights into WMG’s performance with key digital partners (e.g. Spotify, Google/YouTube, Apple, Amazon, Deezer, etc.) and in the industry. Our team looks at the KPIs, drivers of growth, and forecast of each digital partner, and we work with the deal teams to assess and optimize WMG’s digital strategy. We conduct rigorous analyses of the business and markets to detect trends in the data, evaluate the overall digital landscape, and identify competitive advantages.

Here you’ll get to:
[Partner Analyses]
• Continuous analysis of data from digital partners (e.g. Spotify, Google/YouTube, Apple, Amazon, Deezer, etc.) to report and understand KPI’s within the digital music space.
• Independently build analyses to deepen our insight into WMG’s performance with key partners.
• Synthesize and translate data into actionable recommendations.
• Liaise and communicate cross-functionally with other BD, research, and reporting teams.
[Market Analyses]
• Build custom analyses to understand the overall business performance and market outlook.
• Support the team on in-depth analyses, identifying growth opportunities, and providing data-driven recommendations.
[Data Systems/ Other]
• Learn and master data sources and systems to build data integrity and ensure reporting accuracy.
• Collaborate with research teams to exchange insights and data.
Rockstar candidates will have:
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot tables, VLookups, etc.) and experience with PowerPoint
• Experience with database query, statistical analysis, and/or SQL coding
• A detail-oriented mindset and a passion for digging into data and applying robust analytics
• Experience integrating and analyzing large sets of data to build robust analyses and models
• The ability to communicate clearly and translate data-driven analyses in concise actionable recommendations
• The capability of managing multiple priorities and projects
• A strong work-ethic and a self-starter who proactively seeks out new solutions
• Passion for music and the desire to build a career in the industry
Education / Experience Required:
• Bachelor's Degree from a top university
• 1-3 years of experience working full-time in a highly-analytical role
• Experience in management consulting, investment banking, or corporate strategy
• Familiarity with reporting/visualization software (Tableau, Business Objects, etc.)
