Job Description:
The Promotion Coordinators role is to have a full understanding of the promotions landscape, negotiation process, their assigned local markets or networks and client goals and objectives that will ultimately lead to advancement to a Promotions Specialist. This includes a holistic view and knowledge of all promotional opportunities across all media platforms including Local/National Audio and Local/National TV.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinating and implementing quality media promotions that meet and/or exceed the client’s marketing and promotional objectives.
• 50% - Coordination Task
• 10% - Client Management Task
• 15%- Networking Task
• 10% - Training & development Task
• 15%- Guide/Mentoring Task
• Responsibilities include delivering quality promotional packages for assigned markets/networks, packages include required elements and details anticipating client questions, value promotions using HMI guidelines, providing required assets for confirmed promotions, monitoring promotions
• Amplifies campaigns by creating and activating customized added value via on-air, online and on-site activations
• Attend meetings as appropriate and contribute creative ideas
• Full understanding of promotions guidelines, client’s goals and objectives
• Implement work-related goals established by Manager on behalf of clients
• Establish and maintain business relationships with:
◦ Vendor contacts
◦ HMI Buyers, BGM’s and Brand Teams
• Accepts and evaluates traditional, digital or New Media promotional proposals
• Understands the basics of Audio and TV buying as well as streaming, digital and New Media
• Train and mentor promotions assistant
Supervisory Responsibilities
Responsible for the training and development of the promotions assistant
Knowledge and Skills Required
• 4 year college degree
• Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint
• Negotiation skills ,detail oriented, strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task & prioritize workload responsibilities, good communication skills, anticipate next step and have the ability to recognize problems and identify solutions, willingness to learn, grow and mentor, ability to interact with other departments, strong interpersonal skills, team player with a positive attitude
