SUMMARY
This position is responsible on a daily basis for maintaining a well-trained staff of event supervisors and ticket sellers, who are the front line representatives of Target Center, with excellent customer service skills. In addition, the incumbent will serve as the primary in applying internal cash control procedures as the acting vault manager. This individual will also be the primary contact for all aspects of all family shows and group sales.
JOB SPECIFICS
• Assist Manager with hiring, raining, scheduling, and supervising all part-time Box Office staff
• Responsible for procuring all information, building, and maintaining every aspect of all Family shows including, but not limited to: presales, onsales, reporting, order processing, and day-of-show settlement
• Acts as primary contact between Target Center Group Sales and Target Center Box Office for all related events. Runs invoices and processes all Group Sales orders and maintains records of unpaid accounts.
• Maintains ABImm time clock system to schedule part-time BO employees.
• Updates and coordinates distribution of all event information to BO staff.
• Perform daily cash accounting and reconciliation as well as maintain change funds for ticket windows.
• Checks ticket seller’s cash drawers in and out of the vault daily.
• Counts all money received and prepares daily deposits.
• Supervise and instruct ticket sellers with respect to proper cash controls
• Inventory, maintain and safeguard all contents of the vault.
• Monitors credit card sales as well as process all credit card charge-backs retrievals and reversals.
• Assist Finance, as needed, with any miscellaneous projects.
• Serve as back-up for Manager and/or Director in miscellaneous duties.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with supervision of 30-40 PT Box Office staff.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
1. A minimum education level of: Bachelor of Arts/Sciences Degree (4-year) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. 2 minimum years of related work experience required.
3. Proven strong customer service experience required.
4. Previous experience handling cash required.
5. Box Office / Ticketing experience required.
6. Working knowledge of AXS Outbox and AXS Veritix ticketing systems preferred,
7. Accounting and/or Finance experience preferred.
