Reporting to the Director of Digital Sales, this role will build good relationships and strong sales performance by creating and implementing sales and merchandising plans for content and titles for our HarperCollins Christian and HarperCollins Espanol brands with eRetailers e.g. Amazon, Apple, Google, etc.
Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the Assistant Sales Manager, Digital include but are not limited to:
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Regular direct communication with the Buyers / Merchandising managers to build good rapport and effective collaboration to drive sales
2. Supply up-to-date, tailored recommendations for merchandising and promotional slots for all key Christian titles to drive sales
3. Check and monitor eBook data correctly displayed and promotions go live with all eRetailers. Make necessary corrections to ensure quality content appears consistent across all eRetailers.
4. Assist and support the Director of Digital Sales with planning and development of digital sales/merchandising initiatives to eRetailers to promote key authors and titles.
5. Maintaining up-to-date schedules and records of all promotions
6. Analyzing sales performance of digital accounts, promotions and titles to make tailored recommendations to improve account performance to ensure monthly financial targets are achieved and improve future sales results.
7. Analysis of retailer promotions and price promotions to drive performance and share learnings with wider team
8. Pursue opportunities for marketing/merchandising initiatives and partnerships with digital retailers, and striving for ways increase exposure and sell-through of product/titles
Qualifications:
Desired candidate will possess the following knowledge, experience, education and skills:
Knowledge: Christian publishing is a plus
Work Experience: 3-5 years publishing/sales/marketing
Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Industry Knowledge: N/A
Skills:
• Passionate and good understanding of Digital merchandising & e-commerce.
• Functional/technical digital publishing knowledge
• Bilingual English/Spanish
• Extensive use of detailed Excel spreadsheets (Intermediate level).
• Competent with using and analyzing sales figures.
