Digital Marketing Specialist
Reporting to the Sr. Manager Digital Marketing, the Digital Marketing Specialist is a critical role in the department.
Primary Responsibility:
The Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day activities of STARZ Original programming digital marketing initiatives,which include social media, digital experiences, email marketing, YouTube, and paid media campaigns. This includes copywriting, sourcing of assets, and maintaining editorial calendars.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for initiating and coordinating creative development, tracking timelines, documenting requests/changes, and communicating the status of all assigned projects to other departments as appropriate.
• Produce digital assets for use in the social media space. Examples include simple graphics and gifs.
• Perform social media community management duties when necessary, including copywriting, posting, live tweeting, replying to fans, etc.
• Assist team at shoots, red carpet and other events to capture content for social media.
• Regularly review all current social media communities and QA sites to ensure they are in perfect working order at all times.
• Collaborate with digital agencies to ideate and create compelling, innovative digital experiences and custom content that drive engagement and awareness (i.e. - microsites, apps, games, etc).
• Work to clear photography needs for social assets by working with various internal departments.
• Responsible for regular updates to Originals pages on Starz.com to reflect the series’ lifecycles and brand guidelines, and manage the day-to-day relationship with the content team.
• Aid in the creation, testing, and publishing of email newsletters, while working to optimize campaigns against weekly metrics.
• Support sweepstakes and giveaways by overseeing prizing inventory and assisting with fulfillments.
Required Skills:
Qualifications
• 2 Years overall working experience with working experience in social media, digital marketing and/or graphic design.
• Bachelor’s of Arts or Bachelor’s of Science degree in Marketing, Communication or similar discipline preferred.
• Working experience using Adobe Photoshop.
• Highly organized, proactive, multifaceted, capable of working on concurrent projects and able to communicate effectively to digital team members, vendors and executives.
• Project management skills; ability to prioritize, multitask, and focus, while adhering to strict project timeline and budgets.
• Strong attention to details to ensure that all delivered assets conform to brand and company standards.
