Executive Director, Editorial Talent, Hearst Magazines
The Executive Director, Editorial Talent recruits editors and art/photo directors at the highest level of the mastheads for Hearst’s 21 magazines and startup ventures, and works with new and existing talent on magazine creation and development. Reporting to the SVP, Human Resources and the Chief Content Officer, with frequent access to Hearst Magazines’ President, this person must have a discerning editorial eye, exceptional interviewing, observational and negotiating skills, and complete discretion. An ability to conceptualize and evaluate content, with the capacity to develop editorial ideas fully and quickly, is a must. Additional duties include succession planning, process streamlining, public-facing appearances, anything that helps attract and retain the talent that makes Hearst a thriving, dynamic leader of the evolving publishing business.
Candidates must have at least 20 years of top level magazine experience at the country’s foremost titles.
