We are looking for an Account Director to join our New York City Account Service team.
The Account Director will be responsible for developing, maintaining and growing a portfolio of client relationships in the New York office. In this role, the Account Director will be the primary relationship lead for a global account that spans several offices, as well as emerging accounts within the agency portfolio. The Account Director will align all agency disciplines comprised of creative, technology, media, search engine marketing, analytics, delivery and social media and ensure that the agency exceeds the commercial goals of the relationship, and develops the relationship for future success. The Account Director will work closely with agency leadership including finance to ensure timely reporting of forecasts, realization of income and adherence to the client agreements and commercial terms. They will report to the NYC Head of Client Services, and be the primary CAL/CRL (client account lead, client relationship lead) and be equipped with a team of Account Executives and Project Managers, as well as working closely with the Delivery, Technology and Media Leads.

• Third-party partners
• Partners with finance to ensure tracking and managing the financial stability of clients
• Reviews and approves all commercial solutions and project estimates before client review, and ensures discipline leaders provide accurate and timeline inputs
• Participates in new business efforts, prepares internal budgets for pitch work and develops budgets used to pitch clients
• Identifies potential project risks, implements appropriate course of action to address project slippage and develops strategies to mitigate risk
• Plays an active role in conflict resolution. Identifies, manages, and resolves problems before they escalate. Partners with all department heads and senior agency staff in resolving team conflicts
• Understands how to build contingency around risk, overages and fluctuations in comprehensive, multi-discipline commercial solutions
• Strong individual contributor with ability to assemble thought leadership POVs, proposals, reporting and high level agency to client communications

Requirements
• 5-7 years of account management experience, with an emphasis on digitally-oriented integrated businesses, practical experience in managing relationships comprised of digital deliverables (websites, mobile sites, apps, banners, and emails) as well as some integrated experience (print, broadcast, PoP)
• Working knowledge of key digital business practice areas, and familiarity and fluency within Strategy, User Experience, Technology, Creative, Design, Search Engine Marketing, Social Media, eCRM, Mobile and more
• Experience and proficiency with workflow management tools
• Demonstrated ability to align and lead global teams comprised of multiple cities, cultures and commensurate timezones
• Demonstrated ability to grow revenue organically within client relationships
• Proven ability to drive agency relationship success metrics with regular QBR and agency qualitative surveys from client, implement Improvement Plans for areas of weakness
• Proven leadership skills and demonstrated ability to maximize output from nimble, cross discipline teams
• Impeccable organization skills, exceptional communication skills in both written and verbal form
• Problem-solving, assertive demeanor and acumen
• Autonomous, multitasking work style
• Sharp business writing style and business presentation skills
• Proficiency with MS Office application including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project as well as iOS platforms such as Keynote and Pages.
