Sales Assistant - Children's Brand Management
We have an exciting opportunity available for a Sales Assistant to join the Random House Children’s Sales! The position will assist the Senior Director of Brand Management and provide general administrative support to the Brand Management team.
This innovative department is responsible for communicating market trends and identifying sales opportunities in order to grow and develop our publishing lines and licenses, which include Disney, Nickelodeon, and Dr. Seuss. The ideal candidate will be analytically minded and possess strong communication and prioritization skills.
Specific responsibilities include:
1. Distributing sales packets for lead title, cover, and focus meetings.
2. Performing daily sales tracking.
3. Preparing sales analysis and business reviews.
4. Communicating with outside licensing partners and being the point of contact regarding licensed products.
5. Supporting the Title Manager with release of hot titles.
6. Entering comps and goals into estimating system on a seasonal basis.
7. Providing general administrative support, including booking conference rooms, taking notes at meetings, ordering department supplies, assembling sales packets, etc.
8. Providing light administrative support to the SVP & Director of PRH Children’s Sales as needed.

• Strong analytical skills with an emphasis on numbers and financials
• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to successfully handle multiple projects at a time
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to handle confidential information
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
