Job Summary:
This position will provide full cycle recruitment expertise and guidance to source, attract and secure great talent for our organization with some HR generalist and coordinator responsibilities.
Major Responsibilities:
• Work closely with our Senior Talent Specialist, Hiring Managers and Human Resources Business Partners to prepare job descriptions, job postings, advertisements and other documentation to source internal and external candidates and fill vacancies in a timely and cost efficient manner
• Proactively source and engage potential candidates to support continuous flow of potential candidates through job fairs, campus recruitment, social media, etc
• Candidate assessment including resume collection, pre-screening, interviewing and test administration to source the best qualified candidates
• Perform reference checks
• Prepare employment offer letters and new employee packages
• Develop and deliver employee and manager onboarding materials
• Administer and schedule new employees for all initial training requirements including security, health and safety, AODO and other legislative and company requirements
• Track participants and training records to ensure completion
• Participate in special projects and delivering global talent and reward programs
• Other duties as assigned including general human resources activities, administrative functions and filing
Qualifications
• College or University degree or equivalent in experience and education, CHRP designation is an asset
• 1 + years of recruitment experience in a corporate environment
• Demonstrated ability to consult and build rapport with a customer service focus
• Demonstrated success in use of social networking tools and the ability to generate new ideas and methodologies.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
• Experience with Taleo Applicant Tracking system will be considered an asset
