Summary:
The Web Designer will be responsible helping to achieve the overall conceptualization and implementation of digital design solutions that meet marketing strategies and supports revenue driving goals of the organization. This position will partner with other business units to help develop, design and deliver innovative marketing solutions to support national branding, events and communications. Overall accountability for the conceptualization and implementation of digital solutions for the Spectrum Reach and Kernel brands. They will liase with the Marketing team, and other Kernel team members to create and implement various web-based initiatives and communications.
Responsibilities:
• Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience in the digital space
• Actively participate in discussions and planning around supporting brand strategies through digital initiatives, communications and site developments.
• Assist in quality control around customer and associate facing web graphic elements
• Develop and implement new ideas and concepts for marketing and brand
• Provide creative vision, direction and guidance overall for all digital initatives
• Ensure brand guideline consistency in all designed campaigns
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and team members
• In tune with latest digital market trends and techniques
• Measure, monitor and analyze processes of digital initiatives
• Work in collaboration with Corporate Marketing team and Brand team to develop and execute plans that are coordinated with traditional advertising, sponsorships, social media and other marketing channels
• Perform other duties as requested by supervisor
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• The ideal candidate has 4-6+ years of previous experience in designing creative digital concepts.
• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, web design or related field or equivalent experience
• Excellent eye for design and intimate understanding of design elements
• Have a proven track record of developing high quality, creative and compelling concepts for the digital world.
• Coordinate with various internal and/or external leaders to develop creative ideas, while adhering to project deadlines and budgets.
• Enjoys and works well collaborating with other designers and developers to achieve solid and well thought out web-based experiences.
• Proven ability to work in fast paced environment where demands and directions of work are changing, while manage several projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in creating responsive web pages for both desktop and mobile using the latest in web design and web development based programs.
• Ability to write in a variety of computer languages, such as HTML5, CSS
• Good understanding of UX best practices.
• Familiarity with SEO and marketing principles.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite Products including Photoshop.
• Solid UI design experience for desktop, tablet and mobile.
• Previous work designing for mobile applications a plus.
• Ability to work in JavaScript a plus.
