Job Title:Assistant Beauty Editor, Style

Reports to:Beauty Director, Style
Key accountabilities
• To maintain the Style beauty “brand” across all platforms throughout the week (including, where appropriate, weekends)
• To secure weekly exclusive Facebook and Instagram “lives”/videos that engage readers and are both up-to-date and newsworthy
• To create daily beauty content based on analytics and SEO searches, monitor digital content performance on beauty, produce beauty content insights and pitch additional beauty ideas based on results
• To work closely with the Beauty Director to produce the beauty section every week
• To pitch, write and commission outstanding beauty features when required and ensure all deadlines are met
• To be up-to-date on all beauty launches and industry news with the ability to secure regular exclusives
• To liaise with the commercial department and attend commercial meetings when required
• To represent Style at press launches and trips on a regular basis
• To maintain excellent relationships with UK and international PRs in the sector
Key skills and experience
• At least three years of digital experience
• Previous experience on a recognised print or digital title
• A huge passion for the beauty world with brilliant and original ideas
• Extensive contacts within the beauty industry
• A well-organised team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment
• The right attitude to be a Style brand ambassador
• An ability to work under pressure, as well as plan and think strategically about print and digital
